Nowadays, P2P applications have become extremely popular. That's because downloading files and folders using this service is much faster and more convenient than downloading files the traditional way, using the FTP or HTTP protocol. Despite the fact that there are numerous applications that use the P2P protocols, only few of them have the necessary functions and options that would please the actual user. A software that manages to fill in all these gaps is Ares. The program is actually a robust P2P application with a lot of features.
The program is compatible with almost any version of the Windows operating system, including XP and Windows 7, and has a straightforward installation process that can be completed by most users, even inexperienced ones. The interface of Ares has a nice graphical form and it's basically organized in certain tabs, allowing the user to quickly find a desired option.
Searching for a certain file couldn't be easier, thanks to the special Search tab. For making it easier to find a certain item, the program allows selecting the desired file format. These formats include music, videos, images, documents and so on. After the desired file has been found, one can download it by simply double-clicking on it. The Transfer tab of Ares displays all the past completed downloads and also the ones that are in progress of downloading. Thus, the user can easily see how much time a file takes to download and also the current download speed.
The Control Panel section of Ares allows configuring certain aspects of its functionality and also customizing the look and feel. The previewing option of Ares allows playing media files that are currently downloading, making the user sure that he downloads the exact file he is looking for.
